What we're listening for at BIG 2026

On October 8, the French innovation ecosystem will gather at the Accor Arena in Paris for BIG 2026, Bpifrance's annual gathering of entrepreneurs. With over 1,000 speakers, more than 500 workshops and conferences, and a dedicated Healthcare path, it brings together startups, established vendors, investors and public institutions in one place.

For our team, BIG is a field checkpoint for our ongoing French HealthTech coverage. We are not attending to present: we are going to listen, test our existing market views against what ecosystem players actually say, and capture the signals that do not show up in reports.

What we're watching

• Platform expansion and consolidation. How are leading HealthTech players evolving across product launches, new adjacencies, partnerships and M&A? Which categories remain best-of-breed, and where could consolidation happen?
• AI moving from pilots into healthcare workflows. What is driving adoption of AI-enabled tools such as clinical documentation, how important is integration with existing software, and can standalone AI vendors stay differentiated as established platforms add similar features?
• Healthcare buyers' priorities and sentiment. What do the people shaping technology adoption look for when they buy or switch, what needs remain unmet, and how is appetite for AI evolving?

How we'll capture it

Through direct conversations on the floor with founders, healthcare leaders and investors. The expert sentiment and takeaways we collect will feed our HealthTech research and the Dedale platform.
